The Hornbill Music Festival – said to be the longest and most diverse music festival in the country is a much anticipated event held during the Hornbill festival. In the year 2019, the music scene at Hornbill festival saw some major changes. The Hornbill music festival will be held from Dec 1 to 10 in Kohima.

With dozens bands performing, many of the international astists – the festival is something to watch out for.

Hornbill International Rock Contest
The Hornbill International Rock Contest and music festival, organized by the Music Task force, Government of Nagaland may well be the longest music event in the country. Attractive cash prizes and music loving crowd makes the event a unique experience for performers.

Over the years, there have been some great performances by bands from all over the country. The very fact that a band is selected to perform at the event is an achievement. Hornbill International Rock Contest has been discontinued from 2019 and has been replaced by ‘The Great Hornbill Rock’ and now the ‘Hornbill music festival’.
